Between 2017 and 2019 I directed TV shows for ORF III and ORF 1 — studio shows with a live audience in the room. Each setup mixed remote-controlled PTZ cameras, regular broadcast cameras and DSLRs.
To me, directing mostly means calm. My job is to create the room in which everyone else can be creative: camera operators who are free to offer the shots they like. My part is to make it all fit together and to steer the team in one direction.
